Every. Word. Counts.

Getting it right takes a real expert, not a bot.

There are still a few agencies out there that entrust strategy and writing to actual expert strategists and writers. More and more frequently, though, ad copy is generated by entering a prompt into some or other AI engine (often at the direction of an overworked brand manager.) And, with that, you usually get a compendium of what other people (or bots) have already written, with no attention paid to your unique challenges and opportunities. You might get lucky, and be delivered a quick hit of clever/catchy… but it’s almost certainly going to come at the expense of what truly motivates your audience.

We believe that effective messaging is not a string of words culled from the department of Been There, Done That. It’s using words (and other communication cues) in ways that are truly relevant and—hold onto your hat—possibly even completely fresh.

You don’t get there with tips, tricks or even hacks. And you DEFINITELY don’t get there with the philosophy that “nobody’s going to read it anyway.” Talk about your self-fulfilling prophesies.

It takes a specialist with a track record of helping clients connect their brand truths with customer’s true needs. If you’re looking for things like improved brand health metrics, greater customer awareness, action and advocacy, an increase in earned media (and, for agencies, greater success in new business) …

We’re here to help. Let’s talk.

“That’s not writing, it’s typing.”

Truman Capote once said this about beat poetry, and the same can be said about much of what passes for copywriting these days. Every literate person can accomplish the executional aspects of writing. It takes an expert to use Strategic Messaging to truly communicate and connect. We can show you the way.

Business with a purpose.

Curiosity about life in all of its aspects, I think, is still the secret of great creative people.”

The great Leo Burnett said this, and it’s the core of our approach to effective communications.

If you’re a writer, you need to think about more than words. If you’re a designer, go beyond the image. A software engineer? Think about how it all comes together to create an experience the consumer didn't even KNOW was possible.

That can only happen if you’re passionately curious about what people think, feel … believe. We definitely are.

If you don’t break through the clutter, you are the clutter.

You HAVE to use Strategic Messaging to make your advertising immediately relevant and engaging. Because nobody woke up today hoping you’d send them a tweet or email,. Nobody’s spending time seeking out your ad or TV spot.

“You can say the right thing about a product and nobody will listen. You’ve got to say it in such a way that people will feel it in their gut. Because if they don’t feel it, nothing will happen
